The Owner, Tom Fe...

The Owner, Tom Ferris, does not know the definition of hospitality We had a bad experience at the Oyster Bar. We went there on a Sat night at around 8:30PM and the owner, Tom Ferris, said the place was thinning out a bit and would seat us at the bar until a table opened up. 15 minutes later he sat us at the worst possible spot at a table where you can barely fit 2 plates and with very little lighting. Average Food, Terrible Service

The food is average at best (with the exception of the yam fries with chipolte mayo). They have 14 varieties of oysters which are good if they are your thing. Unfortunately, this is the worst service in Victoria. I have been over 10x (my coworkers like it) and been severely disappointed every time.

Baked oysters are also on the menu, from The Original Rockefeller with spinach, green onion, butter and Pernod to the Spaniard with chorizo cream and crackling. Vegetarians: Find marvelous meatless burgers in Victoria

Vegetarians: Find marvelous meatless burgers in Victoria

On top of the delicious tofu dog and veggie nut burger, this restaurant has some of the freshest shellfish and seafood in Victoria, all locally-sourced and prepared by people who know seafood. They’ve even made an oyster burger with a Japanese breaded oyster patty and green onion and ginger mayo. But if you're still set on the vegetarian options, the tofu dog features a homemade relish and secret sauce, while the veggie burger is made fresh with sunflowers seeds and flaxseeds.
