After one year working as associate veterinarians in private practices in Northumberland County, Lex Luttikhuis and Michelle Chiunti opted to form their own veterinary business. Initially, Michelle provided equine veterinary care throughout the county. However, the search was on for a site for a small animal hospital as well. Because of its proximity to Highway 401, affordability, and potential for growth, Colborne Ontario provided the location we settled upon, and still practice from today.We purchased a century home on Percy St. in Colborne in October of 1990 with the generous help of a local banker that believed we could provide a valuable service to this community.
