Engaging Minds Child Care

Like many businesses, Engaging Minds Child Care was born out of necessity. In this case, a new father had a very specific idea for the right kind of child care centre, one that he felt wasn’t available in his area. “Kevin, the owner, had a child himself,” says Lisa Blais, the supervisor at Engaging Minds. “He started looking for child care and found it was very difficult to find the good, quality care and good learning program he wanted. So he decided to open his own centre and brought me on to help him realize that vision.”

Part of that vision is providing a safe and healthy environment for all the children at Engaging Minds Child Care. “Safety and security is very important to us,” says Lisa. “Child care is one of the highest regulated industries in Canada, and we’ve gone above and beyond the minimum requirements. For example, in an infant room with 10 children, we’ll have two registered Early Childhood Educators instead of the required one. We also offer live video streaming for parents interested in seeing their child during the day.”
