I recently organized a last minute get together with my extended family. We were pleased with the warm welcome & the great service at The Longest Yard. We decided on assortment of appetizers. Our special request for well done wings on the grill were perfect (I highly recommend)! We also asked if they could provide a large salad for our table instead of individual servings since we were ordering an assortment of foods for the whole table. The tiny burgers were a hit (flavourful and moist)as well as the spinach dip. The evening was jovial and delightful - just what we needed!
The servcie was absolutely terrible as the staff acted as though they were doing you a huge favour by seating you and taking your order. The food quality was very poor, small quantities of nachos, dirty atmosphere.
I live in the area and will not be going back.
I lived in Leaside in the late eighties, coming from Germany. This was my favourite place. And it still is. Visiting Toronto every year, The Longest Yard is one of the first places I'd go. Nostalgia? Maybe. But a fine one!
Lamb burger was thick and moist (daily special). Salad was crisp and fresh. Wings were plump. Great fries.
Nice atmosphere. Hear the new Longest Yard on Bloor Street has the same great food, though different design.
