Bofinger BBQ has been serving up authentic Southern-style smoked meats since 2007. “I have a passion for barbeque and a passion for food, but there was nothing like Bofinger north of the border,” says owner Lorne Bienstock. Bofinger BBQ offers a refreshing change of pace from Montreal’s foodie culture. No one else smokes it like Bofinger.
However, incorporating Southern barbeque into the trendy Montreal lifestyle was not easy. “We had to teach Montrealers what real authentic barbeque was,” Lorne explains. Quebec twists on Southern classics — like its famous pulled pork poutine — have made many Montrealers manic for more Bofinger BBQ.
