Tik Tak Toc

Philip Strauss is the owner of Tik Tak Toc, a game and toy shop in the Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie neighbourhood. The fact that he owns a toy store is really no surprise: he grew up in a family that imported and distributed games and from a young age, he's had an all-encompassing passion for board and table games.

In 2010, circumstances nudged him in the right direction. "I saw there was a hobby shop that had closed down," says Philip. "I saw a perfect opportunity to open something better." So he jumped at the chance and opened Tik Tak Toc in a spacious location that seemed to be waiting with open arms. The place already had an established customer base and the previous shop had been well known in the area. As for Philip, with his extensive knowledge in the field, the deck was stacked in his favour as he started out on this new part of his life.
